I guess waking the babies up wasn't enough for Cleve, so he made himself known to Joel, too. Joel (though happy to see a ghost at all since he's Knowledge) was shocked, since as far as he knew, the only ghost that should be haunting the house is Indigo, and whatever he saw sure wasn't as pretty as Indigo!
