"And that's how he explained it to me, Lola. Is all of that true?" "Wow," Lola said. "That was amazing! I can't believe Ice told you all of that, he's usually so shy and quiet. Or he used to be anyway! Yeah, that's about right. He left out a few things, though; you want to hear my version?" Grey runs off with his hands over his ears, saying "If I have to hear that sappy story one more time I'll barf!" Then he comes right back, laughing, and says, "You know, I am really happy for you guys. But I still don't want to hear the story again! La, la, la, la, I can't hear you!" He runs off again, with his hands over his ears agin and Lola laughs and laughs.  

When she turned around, I looked down at her belly, then up into her eyes and we shared such an intense moment of love that we had to passionately kiss right there and then. Okay, I'll try to stop being so sappy, Grey--stop making those retching noises! You've never been in love, you don't know what it's like! 

She called for me to come in, and when I saw that she was indeed in a delicate condition, I immediately started pampering her with a relaxing massage. 

It was at the party that my beautiful Lola got proof that she really was pregnant! So I guess we can't keep it to ourselves any longer! 

Here's a picture from the party--see what I mean, Grey? And my brother Teal gave him some swimming trunks just like his for the occasion, it being a pool party and all. I think they don't leave enough to the imagination, myself! 

And he became quite a handsome man, indeed! We'll be beating the ladies off with a stick! 

A few days later, it was time for Aspen's birthday party. It was strange to see the slightly gawky teenager becoming a man before our very eyes! 

Lola told me when she watched me fly off, she still couldn't believe that she was pregnant again, but she was looking forward to going through the adventure one last time (really the last this time!). 

I think the repairwoman knows I'm Captain Hero now, too. I heard her say "Look up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane, no, it's Captain Hero!" as I took off to fight crime. 

But then I had a surprise for her--she hadn't realized yet that I was a part of the Captain Hero Corp, along with her daughter and son! She said that with the glasses on, I looked like an entirely different person! (I take them off when I am Captain Hero, of course, to preserve my secret identity.) 

The thought didn't even occur to me that she could be pregnant until she surprised me with the news! We figured since she was so close to elderhood that we wouldn't need protection, but I guess we were wrong! Then I remembered how extra healthy Green's medicine made Lola and told her that that was probably the reason she was still fertile when she shouldn't be. I thought, too late, that speaking of Green at a time like this might bother her; however, she actually said that in a way, it could be seen as a final gift from Green, since he loved children so much. And I agree with her. This baby is a gift. 

A few weeks later, I heard Lola in the bathroom making awful gagging noises, and hoped that salmon we had eaten wasn't bad. 

But what surprised us was finding out that Aspen had snuck out too, on the same night, with that floozy Justine! I may have to have a talk with that boy. 

But it's always with Ultra, and we know she's a good kid, and we trust Jade, so we don't say anything about it, even though we know. Do they really think they fool us with the obvious way they sneak out of the house in a giant limo? But we know kids have to rebel a little and if this is all we have to worry about, Lola and I are pretty happy. She doesn't want her kids to feel repressed, like her sister Chloe did. She thinks that's why Chloe "acts out" now. 

Well, there is one thing she doesn't share with us, that she sneaks out sometimes! 

She told us he was so cute that she considered having him for her first kiss, but she decided to stick with her current boyfriend who works at the mall downtown--I think his name is Blair. She said she didn't regret her choice. I'm so glad that the kids trust us enough to talk about things like that! 

While Lola and I were sleeping again, Jade met a nice young man, Buck Grunt, who had been jogging by the house. She told us about him later. 

Lola and I were exhausted afterwards, even though we had just taken a nap! And yes, Grey, I did wear my "jungle undies" for her--I know you love to tease me about them! I'll just say she loved them and leave it at that. 

No, I still won't give you any details, Grey! (Ice smiles again.) It was the second time we woohooed and the first time as an engaged couple and it was even better than I had remembered it being! 

Oh, I almost forgot to mention, when Lola and I woke up from our nap, we realized we were hungry . . . for each other! 

I had to take this picture of Jade making mac and cheese in her cute bear shirt. She just looks so serious and cute at the same time, doesn't she, Grey? Can you tell I'm a proud granddad and soon to be stepdad? I know, it sounds weird. 

Lola and I took a nap together later that day, and all of my dreams were about her. 

The looks on their faces were so priceless that I took a picture with the camera I had in my hand for Reed's birthday party shots. Check it out, Grey! Isn't it funny! The kids had a good laugh over it, too, later.  

They weren't upset, though; they just didn't want to see their mom do that to anyone! They even tried to shield their eyes! Lola and I couldn't help but laugh! 

Then, Lola, who figured the kids were distracted by talking with Reed, "goosed" me. The kids must have been paying more attention than we thought, because they all started looking really embarrassed!
